MAKING CONNECTION VISIBLE
This network map grew out of a shared need for clarity and connection. Together with bridgebuilders, municipal workers, and local organisations, we created it to make visible who is active in the energy transition in Zuidoost and how they are connected. The map is designed to show both institutional power and community-based influence, and to remain open, expandable, and useful for ongoing collaboration.
STRUCTURE OF THE MAP
The green rings show how power is distributed in the network. The dark green centre represents actors with the most money power: decision-making authority, budgets, and policy control. The lighter green rings further out represent increasing people power: proximity to residents, trust, and lived experience. Moving outward means less formal power but closer contact with everyday life.

CERTAIN GROUPS OF RESIDENTS
DIFFERENT STAKEHOLDER TYPES
Each circle represents a different stakeholder or organisation. The colour of a circle shows the type of actor (for example residents, bridge builders, knowledge institutions, or public bodies). This helps you quickly see who plays which role in the network and how different kinds of actors are distributed across the power layers.
CONNECTION BETWEEN STAKEHOLDERS
The grey, organic shape shows that relationships in the network are not fixed or hierarchical. It represents overlapping, informal, and evolving connections between stakeholders. The blob highlights collaboration, translation, and interaction across layers, rather than clean boundaries.

HOW TO USE THE MAP?
You can explore the map by hovering over the circles. Most icons are clickable and will take you directly to the stakeholder’s website. This allows you to quickly learn who they are and what they do.

THE "BURDENS" GROUPS
Time barriers
These residents are "time-poor" and stressed. They need help that saves them effort.

BUILDING RELATED - GROUP
Technical barriers
These residents are vulnerable primarily because of their housing situation.
